Vesta Coffee Las Vegas Review

Vesta Coffee is a really nice micro-chain of coffee shops in Las Vegas. I’ve been to their Arts District store as well as their West Sahara branch over the (sporadic and rare) times I’ve been in town. It’s worth knowing that they’re roasters first — founder Jerad Howard started Vesta after getting into home-roasting and noticing how hard it was to find quality coffee in Las Vegas, and the Arts District location actually roasts on-site, while the Sahara branch has a bakery and a drive-thru. That roaster-led focus shows.

We got the miso sable cookie and it was so fresh and nice, it sort of just crumbles in your mouth and you can just taste the quality. It appears they genuinely have great pastries.

Both visits impressed me, with a great selection of coffee alongside a generous and tasty set of vegetarian-friendly options. The food is genuinely good, the pastries aren’t stale, and the matcha is made with care rather than as an afterthought. They also do some genuinely creative drinks — things like a macadamia-almond latte made with house-made nut milk — if you want to venture beyond standard drinks.

They really do have nice merch and cups.

Flat white and a great iced tea.

My friend ordered a black coffee which he described as “excellent”,

He also got, I think, a ham and cheese croissant with chips.

I walked in early in the morning, around 7 am, and instantly felt calm. They were playing classic Belle and Sebastian, which set the tone perfectly.

I ordered a vegetarian chili, which was almost more like a black bean soup, hearty and satisfying either way. The avocado toast was nice, although it had just the minimum amount of avocado to be viable.

The coffee was great: well-balanced and just genuinely good.

Vesta is just a vibe, and while I haven’t been to a ton of cafes in Vegas, I think it’s widely accepted as one of the best in the city.
